Round the World in June Kiteboarding in Cabarete

The Cabarete Kiteboarding World Cup will be held in this scenic north coast town from June 22 to 26, 2011. Surfers from around the world are expected to participate in the event. Some 300 million viewers are expected to watch the event, which will be broadcast on ESPN, FOX Sports and Eurosport, said Lorenzo Sancassani, organizer of the competition. World-renowned competitors from Germany, France, England, Holland, Russia, Poland, the US, Spain and Portugal are expected to participate. This international competition has been steadily held for the past 11 years in the spectacular white-sand beaches of Cabarete.
