Four Points by Sheraton
The Puntacana Group and the Starwood Hotels and Resorts signed a franchise agreement to open the Four Points by Sheraton Puntacana Village resort. The facility will feature 122 rooms in a four-story building which will meet the international standards of excellence. Also featured will be meeting rooms for various kinds of events, lobby bar, gymnasium and swimming pool, among other facilities. The resort will be built in the Puntacana Village, a growing community situated near Punta Cana's international The Puntacana Group originated back in 1969 when Dominican businessman Frank Rainieri and Theodore Kheel, a prestigious New York lawyer, came together in order to build a resort that would contribute to the development of the region while, at the same time, protect the rich cultural heritage and the natural beauty of the Dominican Republic. The resort will also be in the proximity of "Galerias Puntacana," one of the region's most important malls offering visitors various restaurants from which to choose from, bars, stores, supermarkets as well as other important services. The Four Points by Sheraton will also have access to the "Punta Blanca" beach club. The four-story building will be built on nine thousand square meters of land. Opening has been scheduled for the winter of 2012. The Four Points by Sheraton brand was chosen in 2011 as the number one hotel chain most preferred by business travelers.
